HTTP:
Das Hypertext Transfer Protocol ist ein Protokoll, aufbauend auf TCP, für den Informationsaustausch über das WWW.
IP-Netzwerk:
Ein auf dem Internet-Protokoll basierendes Computernetzwerk.
J2ME:
Java 2 Micro Edition.
J2SE:
Java 2 Standard Edition.
LAN:
local area network. Ein lokales Computernetzwerk.
TCP:
Transmission Control Protocol. Ein verbindungsorientierter Dienst auf Basis des Internet Protokolls (IP).
UDP:
User Datagram Protocol. Ein einfacher aber unzuverlässiger Datagramm-Paket-Dienst auf Basis des Internet Protokolls (IP).
URL:
Unifom Resource Locator. Eine protokollbehaftete eindeutige Adresse für ein Objekt im Internet.
WID:
wireless information device. Handgerät mit Funkverbindung zu Diensten.
WLAN:
Wireless local area network. Ein lokales Computernetzwerk ohne physikalische Verkabelung der Netzwerkknoten.
